Biographical Sketch:
I am a spatial ecologist with experience in a wide range of ecological disciplines, including landscape ecology, wildlife biology, quantitative modeling, population genetics, and disease ecology. I have conducted ecological research in many parts of the western U.S., from Alaska to Arizona. Much of my research focuses on wildlife movement patterns and how they are influenced by landscape characteristics, particularly anthropogenic impacts such as transportation infrastructure and natural resource use. I pursues a mix of applied and theoretical research projects, with the ultimate goal of improving our understanding of impacts of human land use and climate change on wildlife populations in order to preserve and restore ecological connectivity.
