Biographical Sketch:
I have worked (or studied) as a research ornithologist, in one capacity or another, since 1997, with a variety or organizations from government agencies to environmental non-profits and research institutes. My research interests are broad but have largely generally focused on the behavioral ecology and migrations of northern-breeding marine birds, including considerable experience in offshore surveys, and in the capture and sampling of birds.
Education:
Ph.D. in Cognitive & Behavioural Ecology from Memorial University of Newfoundland (St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada), granted in 2003.
M.Sc. in Biopsychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland (St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada), granted in 1998.
B.Sc. (Honours) in Biology from University of the West of Scotland (Paisley, Scotland, UK), granted in 1992.
