Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Adam Daigneault is the EL Giddings Associate Professor of Forest Policy and Economics in the University of Maine’s School of Forest Resources and Associate Director of UMaine’s Center for Research on Sustainable Forests.  He is a natural resource economist who develops quantitative models to assess the socioeconomic impacts of environmental and land use policy on the natural resource sectors. His research focuses on estimating the benefits and costs of climate change, forest management, and ecosystem services. Prior to UMaine, Adam was at Landcare Research New Zealand and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he worked extensively on environmental policy analysis. Dr. Daigneault received his PhD in Environmental and Resource Economics from The Ohio State University in 2006.
