Biographical Sketch:
Dustin coordinates field studies for BRI’s waterfowl and mammal departments. Conducts field research, literature review, data analysis, manuscript and report writing. Also assists BRI staff with GIS mapping and spatial analyses.
Dustin has been a wildlife research biologist with BRI since 2007. Dustin’s research has primarily focused on migration ecology, habitat use, and contaminants in waterfowl. Dustin received a M.S. in Biological and Environmental Sciences from University of Rhode Island in 2018 studying spatial ecology and resource selection of White-winged Scoters in southern New England. He has extensive experience mist-netting, live-trapping and sampling several bird and mammal species as well as analyzing and mapping satellite-derived location data.
