Biographical Sketch:
Jennifer Follstad Shah, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the School of the Environment, Society, & Sustainability (ESS) and Associate Director of the Environmental Studies & Sustainability (ENVST) program. Jennifer is an ecosystem ecologist, with expertise in freshwater and riparian habitats. Her work has been published in high impact journals, such as Science and Nature. She has received top awards for research in the College of Social & Behavioral Science at the University of Utah and a Scientific and Technological Achievement Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Jennifer serves on several technical and legislative advisory committees in the state of Utah. She also is an affiliate of the Global Change and Sustainability Center (GCSC) and on the executive committee for PEAK Water, both at the University of Utah.
