Biographical Sketch:

Darcy Boellstorff is a professor of geography and geospatial science with expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and environmental applications. She teaches and develops curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a strong focus on applied geospatial technologies, spatial thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work spans environmental conservation, public engagement, and STEM education, with particular interest in integrating GIS into science education for high school teachers and professionals. She has engaged in numerous initiatives related to wetland restoration, environmental planning, and geospatial literacy, and regularly collaborates with government agencies, universities, and community partners.
